Enhanced Charge API
Overview
The Enhanced Charge API extends the functionality of our standard Charge API, offering a more versatile and robust solution for complex payment scenarios. Beyond simple order processing, this advanced API supports marketplace orders that attribute transactions to individual sellers and virtual account payments that route customer bank transfers to a merchant-assigned reference.
Scenarios
- Marketplace — capture per-seller line items within a single order, enabling marketplaces to attribute transactions to individual sellers.
- Virtual Account — accept payments via the
virtual_accountinstrument type, with processor-specific payer identifiers carried in the instrument payload.
For the core Charge API request and response structure, see Charge API.
Platform note on Marketplace. Marketplace ships today on the Modo (Ecomm 1.0) stack. Ecomm 2.0 maintains backward compatibility with Modo, and Marketplace will be added to the Ecomm 2.0 OpenAPI specification by the platform team during the upcoming work cycle. Until then, treat the request and response shapes documented in the Marketplace sub-page as canonical.
